Study Group registrations: now open
We are pleased to share details for the SUM4Products Study Group for Formulation Engineering, taking place at the University of Birmingham from Monday 20th April - Friday 24th April 2026. Registration is open until Sunday 22nd March. All delegates will be contacted shortly after registration closes to confirm their place.
Study Groups with Industry are a well-established and cost-effective way to make progress on pressing challenges. The SUM4Products Study Group will bring mathematical scientists together with partners from business, industry and government to tackle real and important issues in formulation engineering. Attendees will be able to apply for further funding to expand on research conducted during the Study Group- please also see information about the SUM4Products Research Project Scheme which is currently open for applications, details of which you should have received last week.
Academic staff, research fellows and PhD students are invited to participate. There is no charge for academic participants; meals are provided, and limited accommodation is available on a first‑come, first‑served basis.
Organisations are also invited to propose challenges for the Study Group. We would be delighted to hear from any companies or organisations that might be interested in presenting a problem.
Visit our Study Group page to find out more and register. Please share this opportunity with other networks as you see fit (feel free to share our LinkedIn post).
Please direct questions, problem suggestions or enquiries about proposing a challenge to sum4products@contacts.bham.ac.uk.
